Schiff purchased this campus area apartment building in 1999. Seven years later, Schiff Properties transformed it into a student destination, retail development, attracting a diverse group of successful tenants. Noodles & Company, Diaspora, and Papa Johns offer an eclectic mix of dining options, with local favorite White Castle rounding out the mix.

Schiff Properties is also proud to announce that Amazon.com Inc. has chosen University Gateway North to bring its Amazon campus concept to The Ohio State University. Presently operating on some 16 college campuses across the country, Amazon’s version of a college campus bookstore will include a pickup location for rapid delivery.

Both a familiar and premier location on campus, Campus One sits on OSU’s renowned High Street, right in the middle of The Ohio State University campus area. The building’s 15,000 square-feet are occupied by two of the most popular retailers in the area: Starbucks and Urban Outfitters, the campus area’s first national retailer, and secured by Schiff. Today, Campus One is a must-visit destination for thousands of students daily.

Columbus natives will recall with fondness the String Shoppe, a guitar store that operated on North High Street for roughly 50 years. Schiff purchased the property next to the Newport Music Hall in 2010 at the urging of his son Zach, who was an Ohio State senior at the time and recognized the sites’ potential.

The building’s makeover included a new brick façade in keeping with the Ohio Union located across the street. Key Bank and Waffle House are present tenants as is Blaze Pizza, a rapidly expanding, fast-casual restaurant co-owned by LeBron James. Blaze selected the North High Street location for its first Columbus area outlet. It’s a prime example of how new concepts are drawn to Schiff Properties as they offer the locations they need to succeed.

The new 2,300-square-foot drive-through located at the southwest corner of Dublin Road and Grandview Avenue is home to the third Starbucks in Schiff Properties real estate development portfolio. The world’s leading coffee retailer is known for taking a thoughtful and strategic approach when choosing its store locations. Schiff Properties values their partnership with Starbucks and is pleased to offer the iconic coffee roaster and retailer the most sought after locations in Central Ohio.
